Dr. Jenny Moutafis: a genuine Bayside favourite!
Doctor Jenny Moutafis has been a part of the Sandringham Dental Practice family for 26 years. After graduating from the University of Melbourne Dental School, she began her career in Mount Eliza and then spent some time as a civilian dentist at the Australian Airforce base in Laverton. Jenny enjoyed her time working amongst the Airforce personnel so much that she was tempted to sign up. It is our good fortune though that she eventually decided to make her way to Bayside, where she joined our team in 1993.
During her time with us she has been an integral part of the culture of caring and kindness we are known for at Sandringham Dental Practice. Jenny’s patience and gentle touch come from her genuine concern for the welfare of her patients, many of whom have been coming to see her for over 20 years.
Jenny is so popular with her patients that whenever she is on leave (she often visits her family back in Greece) they will invariably wait for Jenny to be back on deck to have their appointments. The loyalty she has attracted from her patients is testimony to the trust they have in her skills and her philosophy of treating the whole person.
Away from the surgery, Jenny likes to spend time with her family and friends, host social gatherings, cook up a storm, and make a variety of crafts. We have all benefited from her culinary and craft skills, with Jenny hosting wonderful Christmas staff parties on a number of occasions. Of all of her pastimes, her favourite is spending time with her beloved Maltese Shih Tzu, Boubouki, which means flower bud in Greek. She can often be found walking Boubouki along the local beach enjoying the beautiful Sandringham coastline.
